Trout in the Classroom. An on-going national program to bringing the life cycle of trout into k-12 schools. TIC is now in 100 tanks in over 70 schools throughout CT. TIC reaches more than 4000 students. The kids and teachers raise and release trout from 20,000 eggs.
See more info Youth Education For many years we have taught kids fly casting, fly tying, and stream ecology/entomology. For the last few years, our event has been held in conjunction with the CT DEEP’s “Free Fishing Day” and the annual “No Child Left Inside” Event at various venues around the state including: Chatfield Hollow State Park in Killingworth, CT, Stratton Brook State Park in Simsbury, CT, and most recently in 2018 at Wharton Brook State Park in Wallingford, CT.
