The Chapter and the QRWA are hosting a fishing trip for some veterans today from 9:00-3:00pm. We are working with the Take A Vet Fishing program of the Branford Congregational Church (see: https://www.facebook.com/TakeAVetFishing) The event will be at our monthly meeting location. There will be a cookout and fishing. Address: Meriden, 450 Oregon Road. Come join us for some fun and help provide friendship and fellowship to disabled and recovering veterans by getting the vets and their staff out of the clinical environment for a relaxing day of fishing.

If you want to learn more about the Farm River in North Branford here's your opportunity. The North Branford Land Conservation Trust is hosting a Trails Day walk.  The Farm River is the location of the Chapter's ongoing effort to improve fish passage by installing two fishways. See the Farm River Fish Passage Project page for more information about our efforts.
For all those who missed it, we had a good time at the last meeting of the season. Next year we plan to have the picnic as an "All Family" event with hot dogs,hamburgers and drinks supplied by the chapter and pot luck side dishes/deserts.
